FORTRESS OF SOLITUDE

Tuesday

Hillary Clinton

This woman is a real piece of work. Her entire life has been building toward this moment. Even while her husband served as President, she proclaimed, “WE are the President.” Her main focus is the power of the Presidency. It always has been. 2008 could be the culmination of that desire. She stands a chance of winning.

Why? Because the American voters, in general, are idiots. Hillary Clinton is a very dangerous individual. She has a complete disdain for the military (as does her husband). Her professors at Yale consider her to be a profound socialist. And, it’s easy to see why:

"We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what's best for society."
-Hillary Clinton (1993)

She believes that it is the role of Government to redistribute wealth “from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs.”

Recently, at a meeting of the Democratic National Committee, Hillary delivered a speech about her views on the war, the economy, and her upcoming run for the Presidency. In this speech she made the following statement:

“The other day the oil companies reported the highest profits in the history of the world. I want to TAKE those profits and I want to put them into a strategic energy fund that will begin to find alternative smart energy, alternatives and technologies that will begin to actually move us toward the direction of independence!”

To most American voters, this sounds like a great plan. Those evil, rich oil companies have it coming. Hillary is going to stand up for the little guy by taking the profits from those corporate devils and giving it to us!

But, as I said, the American voters, in general, are idiots. They see no problem with the Imperial Federal Government deciding exactly how much money a company is ALLOWED to make. If the Government decides that someone has made too much money, they will take it away from them. They will steal it.

This is the epitome of a socialist society…a fascist government seizing the property of private citizens and business, regulating their profits, and redistributing it to others. It is Marxist socialism, plan and simple.

The problem with socialism, besides the fact that it is immoral, is that it has never worked. Societies crumble under the control of a Socialist government. It is at odds with humanity. Yet, Hillary Clinton subscribes to this Governmental philosophy.

Is this the person you want as President?

But, let’s look at some other problems with this statement. Hillary is complaining that oil companies make too much in profit from the sale of fuel. This is a favorite class-warfare weapon of the left. They have made it a staple to demagogue oil companies.

But, look at the argument. If you take a price of $3.00 per gallon of gasoline, how much of that do you suppose is profit for the oil company? The answer is around $0.10 per gallon.

That’s right. When you are paying $2.00 for a gallon of gas, only 10 cents of that is oil company profit. Where does the rest go? Most of it (roughly 56%) goes to the purchase of crude oil. But a large chunk of it goes to…

You guessed it – The United States Government. Depending on which state you live in, up to 50 cents goes to the State, while 18.4 cents goes to the Federal Government.

So, while the oil companies get 10 cents per gallon profit, the Government gets almost 70 cents per gallon profit. Who’s really making “the highest profits in the history of the world?”

To Hillary Clinton, 10 cents per gallon is too much for the oil company, and 70 cents per gallon isn’t nearly enough for the Government. So, she wants to steal more. Got that?

It’s a ridiculous argument when you look at the facts. But, Hillary knows that the facts don’t concern the American voters. The only thing that concerns them is a Government that will punish the evil oil companies and take care of their every need (i.e. Healthcare, Health Insurance, Retirement Fund, Pay Rate, etc.). Freedom be damned. They want the Government to control it all.

Socialists like Hillary love voters like that.

By the way, in this same speech before the Democratic National Committee, Hillary stated:

“If I had been president in October of 2002, I would not have started this war.”

Never mind the fact that in 2002, she voted for the war. Facts like that get in the way of Hillary’s campaign.
